Artisans of the Valley will be attending the 2010 Philadelphia Fine Furniture Show pending in March at the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal. We’ll be arriving with an array of furniture, video slide shows, and presentations to provide a cross section of our portfolio and of our restoration services.

John Looser (www.extremebirdhouse.com) is recognized as producing some of the best birdhouses in the world, placing in every contest that he’s entered. A craftsman at heart, John employs reclaimed wood to develop monstrous mansions tailored for the needs of various species. The time required to craft these homes is obviously extensive, making bird housing a lifestyle for this Canadian artist.

The Making of Artisans of the Valley’s EBRU-TV Artist Profile – Filming May 29, 2009 on location at Artisans’ shop and homes. Interviews, carving demonstrations, and general discussions will all be combined into a feature including Master Craftsmen Eric M. Saperstein & Stanley D. Saperstein, Theresa Tonte, & Cindy Saperstein. The show is scheduled to air in September of 2009 – more information will be released shortly with dates and where to view our feature!

We all want balance in our lives. Eric Saperstein (right) finds it by living in two worlds. While at MetLife, as a member of ESS Enterprise Technology Solutions, Eric is immersed in the hi-tech, highly team-oriented world of a senior software deployment engineer. But on his own time, he practices a more ageless and solitary pursuit: the fine art of hand-carved, custom-made furniture, including reproduction period furniture, original designs and antique restoration and conservation.
