Hand Carved New Wave Gothic Entertainment Center by Artisans of the Valley - Complete Side View

Custom grillwork fabricated by Diversatech.

Hand Carved New Wave Gothic Entertainment Center by Artisans of the Valley - Front ViewArtisans designs and builds home entertainment centers in both modern and period styles. Eric's background in electronics and home theater enthusiasm provides the knowledge required to accommodate modern equipment. Units can be fixed permanently in your home, or built as freestanding. Many pieces include industrial casters for improved mobility and hidden access panels to ease the burden of cable hookup. Optional front doors are available to close off your high tech equipment from an otherwise period decor.

Following along the recent theme of our Gothic Dining Table project, we designed and built a New Wave Gothic Entertainment Center.

Dry fitting the frame and panels is a key step to ensure everything fits properly before committing the assembly with glue, adhesives, and pegs.

Pre-staining and sealing the panels is another important step. This ensure that while the panels can float freely to allow for expansion and contraction, unfinished areas don't suddenly appear. Also it ensures the integrity of the panels by sealing the edges.

Custom Maple Entertainment Center in Black

This piece is a hand made two-section corner entertainment center designed to accommodate a 36" television, various A/V components, and media storage. Our client commissioned the piece for a "dead corner" in their family room. Situated between a window and French doors leading to their office area, this area is the only location suitable for a television. The two-section design allows a large-scale corner unit to mate with a smaller case unit providing optimal use of space.

The unit features mortis and tenon raised panel doors, four heavy duty drawers on roller bearing full extension slides, three rear access doors into the television and component areas, and eight hidden industrial casters for ease of movement. This unit measures approximately 78" high, and requires 62" left and 42" right of corner wall space.

Custom Maple Entertainment Center in BlackFinish is satin black, blending modern design into a large vaulted ceiling setting. Although we do not normally offer black finishes in our 18th century lineup, this special order meets the decor of this particular client's home. Please note, additional delivery fees apply for these units, and we require special access to your home through French or large sliding doors.

Open Front Oak Entertainment Center

A modern piece from the perspective of proportions, a 50" projection TV, front and center channel speakers, and a variety of A/V equipment all reside in a unit standing six feet tall and a full eight feet long. The unit rides six industrial casters, allowing this monster to roll easily providing access to doors at the rear of each side unit. This piece is accented with carving on the face molding, and all equipment always in the open.
